Poverty
is the underlying cause of death in children worldwide.
Education
is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Teaching
life skills and basic health care builds self-esteem and
gives them hope to change their future.
The
Karibu Centre is a project that will help solve this
crisis by providing residential and day programs for
children and pregnant women with a goal of serving
70,000 each year.
Karibu
Centre is an integrated prevention program for street
kids left in the aftermath of the AIDS destruction.
Services include programs that will educate, nourish,
promote healthy development, and model positive
relationships. To reduce the growing number of street
children, Karibu Centre also serves pregnant women,
abandoned babies and disabled children.
